Okay I agree with the idea of a rotten system as think that generally many legal or government institutions are rotten and self serving for the rich.

But the flaw in the argument from my perspective is that if all the decent people don’t go into the police, the ones with integrity, a moral compass who genuinely try to help people and do the right thing, then that leaves the bad apples.

So for going into a system and hoping to change it for the better, help/protect their community from criminals and the bad apples and make a real difference in lives, by that logic those people striving for better are still bastards and that just doesn’t feel right to me.

Again no hate here just a genuine conversation

I have many friends and family who have joined the Scottish Police and given years of their lives to serving their communities, risking their own lives and health. Should I say fuck them too?

I joined the police for six months before deciding it wasn’t the career for me and got back into charity work. Are you saying Fuck Me now or just for the six months I was in? Did my fuckery expire?

How can thousands, millions of people doing a job be reduced to such a binary sentiment.

Used to be all over Google products but got my soul back and sold it to Apple instead. All the big corps are the same in the end, I think.

I had Windows Phone, BlackBerry 10, CyanogenOS, Jolla Sailfish and was waiting on Firefox os and Ubuntu to be available in my country they never were. We are stuck with stripped back versions of Android and iOS.

What counts as a British accent? Not being awkward just curious as I see it mentioned usually by American folks a lot. Does it mean any accent from the UK?

Maybe it’s trendy to hate on Koontz but I enjoyed his books when I was a bit younger. The Face, Watchers, TickTock and a couple others but I also liked Clive Cussler at the time so there is that. I think I found it easy to pick up and read as opposed to an investment like King.

A quick google says that Koontz has sold 450 million books and is worth over 200 million. I’m sure he is okay with not being some people’s favourite.

Work for a broadcaster in the UK in one of the back office support roles. We can all work from home for 2 or 3 days every week and the other 2 or 3 in the office.

It was initially ‘suggested’ post-Covid but from January it will be mandatory to do it as people were not sticking to the suggested days.

This unlocked some real memories of watching the show with grandparents back in the day!

Trouble is governments generally won’t vote in something like that cos their mates too often are those rich people or donors to their party.

A valid point but I played about the same amount of CP then waited til it was all done three years later before doing another, much more thorough and patient playthrough. Have done a similar thing here and will wait a fair amount of time before diving back in.
