By your definition, every language is like that then. The only "pure" languages are spoken in countries with small populations. And even then they still get external influences, and I doubt it would be spoken as it was 1000/2000/3000 years ago...

Are you going to apply the same rules to pedal assist bikes? Or are you planning to single out e-scooters only, like tfl did for some reason?
Acoustic bikes? What kind of witchery is that? Do you sing to unlock them or do they play music while you ride?
40% of that figure is international students, who tend to be wealthy and live in student accommodation which wouldn't house regular people anyways. They also tend to leave after they finish their studies. So that would leave us closely with the recommended number of building new houses. People should really find another excuse to blame immigrants or bother reading the details of the stats they use. (Also, ONS and other think tanks said that this number is not going to continue going forward.)
One would think that there would be more than just one lawyer who says that.. Oh well.. :)
You need the IELTS UKVI (general) test which is provided by the British Council specifically. It's the same exam, but stricter facilities. The 'normal' test won't be accepted by the Home Office.
He is opposed to a policy which has already been thoroughly consulted on.
Wrong, I'm afraid it wasn't. national grid consultation
It seems like the pressure is working, because they agreed that the initial assessment wasn't enough: "We are also consulting on the preliminary findings from our environmental studies and assessments as well as proposed mitigation for any potential impacts to the local environment, including animal habitats and the local landscape."
In any case the local campaigners want more scrutiny and consultation from a third party. Which is their right if we like it or not.
What are you on about? This is not a policy by the greens, but one MP. Ramsay said '..110 miles of cabling using 50m high pylons will “destroy our historic landscapes and will require huge loss of trees”.' An MP who cares about his constituence!? The horror!!
He suggested that they should do a thorough analysis and consultation before going forward. Maybe the silicon valley mantra of 'move fast and break things' shouldn't be applied to our green future policies.
He already has money. He needs power and influence for his father in-law business interests.
You need TV licence, so no, not free.
Ah yes Egypt, Israel's best friend! Just like Pakistan and India, Greece and Turkey or Argentina and UK. Just because they signed a peace deal, it doesn't mean they are allies. The following day, after the Hamas attacks, an Egyptian police officer shot at Israeli tourists in Alexandria and killed two Israelis and their Egyptian guide. Anti-Semitism is rife in the region.
Just because Israelis can fly or use the ports, doesn't mean that they are not under constant dread - my analysis still stands.
The day Israel declared independence Egypt, Syria, Transjordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and volunteer corps from the Arab League ("Holy war army" and "Arab libertarian army" which had an insignia of the star of David with a dagger piercing it) attacked. This was fresh after Palestinian leaders met with Hitler in 1941 and the holocaust. They also saw that all the other neighbouring countries that declared independence in the region, including the ones from historical Palestine who took land from the Palestinian people, like Lebanon, Syria and Transjordan never got attacked or criticised. From Israel's point of view it was because they are Jews and the Arabs want another holocaust.
I would love to see the settlements in the West Bank dissolved, but it will never happen while the Arab (and Persian) world is still very much antisemitic and wants all the Israelis dead or "gone". The West Bank and Golan Heights offer strategic depth and security to Israel, and they will never leave. And they are willing to become the next North Korea if they have to, but at least they will be alive.
Now you don't have to agree with any of this. But those are "facts" for the Israelis. For them it's an existential crisis. The only way to reform Israel is also to reform the Arab world. Otherwise it's just a race to the bottom - both sides will elect more and more extremists.
Kudos to him. But the title is misleading - he didn't build an e-bike, he built a battery pack/kit. Reading the title and looking at the picture I thought that he melted the plastic to mold it into a bike frame...
