This makes 0 sense. They literally removed the features that makes a search engine most useful. Whoever came up with this change has a terminal case of brainworms.

Interesting. So basically it's a pretty basic GNU/Linux distro based on some release of Gentoo Linux with some custom proprietary software that spies on the user, has themes added on top of it and it uses a lot of KVMs for things.

Probably the only GNU/Linux distro that I'll never touch, ever.

I share this experience. It's really annoying.

I see a discord link, I downvote.

Don't remember exactly but it must have been a few years ago. I think I came across it when searching for FOSS reddit-like forum alternatives. I remember the main instance was on dev.lemmy.ml and federation wasn't a thing yet.

I too switched to sway because any X11 compositor I've tried over the past few years I could never get vsync properly working. I have multiple monitors one of which has a different refresh rate. The mixed refresh rates actually makes X11 compositors constantly use up 10-20% of my CPU. And when I turn V-sync off my GPU starts sweating really bad for some reason. Wayland literally has none of these problems.

The framebuffer console does actually support UTF-8 if your locale is set up correctly (source: I just switched to my TTY and tried it). Not sure about right to left/bidirectional though.
