Mint tea and thin mint Girl Scout cookies… I don’t really either at any other time, but if I’m under the weather, nothing sounds good to eat. I do my best to drink water and stay hydrated, but guzzling water all day when I do t feel good is a chore. So I’ll have tea and cookies instead.

I’m so habituated that it’s frequently when I realize that I AM sick, because I’ll find myself looking in the cupboard for thin mints.

Depends on how much ground there is to cover, but face-time with people is cheap if you’re just walking the neighborhood and knocking on doors.

I had a candidate (not a staffer, the actual candidate) introduce himself and we talked on my stoop for like 20min. I was impressed that he cared enough to come in person. I was leaning in his direction anyway, but after that I told people he seemed like a good guy, donated a few bucks online, and voted for him.

Alternately, you could host a “coffee with the candidate somewhere”, and bring the people to you?

Amazon, Apple and SpaceX. The first two for staggering short-term monies before they figure out I don’t know anything, and kick me out, SpaceX because I think rockets are cool! Maybe I’d kill off Starlink since that’s pissing off astronomers and astronomers are also cool.

Maybe at 2.00am… the heat index is like 115F here right now.

I learned about this when we got a new microwave and every time we used it, it would kill the wireless connection to my laptop!

Certainly not the worst meme I’ve seen posted!

It’s so fucking embarrassing that voters in Iowa are so damn brainwashed. I grew up there, and it used to be a way more reasonable place than it is now.

This last week was my “stressful” week - I’m pulling for ya, dude or dudette or dude-kin… you’ve got more strength then you think. Take it one thing at a time, it doesn’t have to be perfect just do your best, and come back here when it’s over to let us know that you made it through.

You can do this - I believe in you. If I can make it work, being the huge goober that I am, you’ll be just aces.

Drink lots of water, get a good night’s sleep, and open your heart to the possibility that you might just slay this week.

Wear that thing that makes you feel like a bad-ass, put on your “mojo” tunes and crank them up, then go show them what you’ve got.

You got this.

Just watched it - it was… ok. I think it’s important to remember that not all episodes have been winners, there were a lot of other episodes that have also been “ok”, too. I had a couple of chuckles, and after the wretched day I had, that was enough for today.

I hope they got some of the “topical” stuff out of their system, I think it’ll get old if every new episode is a non-ending cavalcade of winks to real-world issues. I know they have more coming, I just hope it’s not a substitute for telling good stories.

I do agree that some of the voice-acting sounded kind of off, but the one I noticed most was (mild spoiler ahead) the robot devil.

I spent a lot of time in the Midwest and it just seems unrecognizable, compared to when I was growing up there.

I think it must be a balancing issue to make up for the energy boost we get on Fridays, but it sure seems like it takes a lot more energy to get stuff done on Mondays!

Who do I talk to about toning this down to like 1.25 instead? Where are the devs when you need ‘em?
