Hi all. If you pay for Parcel Post online but don't have a printer, can you go to the PO and get them to print it out for you?

This is actually a really bad problem because I thought that certain communities I am a member of are quite active but coming in from aussie.zone, they look completely dead. It was making me start to switch off from Lemmy.

I just realised this was happening and is a tech issue rather than an engagement with Lemmy as a platform issue. I wish it was fixed.

Here is a screenshot. Couldn't upload it directly using both Vivaldi/Chrome or Firefox browsers on a Mac. Using Voyager, am getting (os error 107) when trying to add image to a post.

Will broken images come back at some point?

Getting this message on some, but not all images:

{"msg":"Socket not connected (os error 107)"}

Edit - this is what comes to mind when I think about this

Oh hello. Somehow, I missed the mention. As @useless_modern_god@aussie.zone said, I do post some new and old Australian tunes in the Alternative Nation community, but you need something more specialist/specific.

For that, I would recommend Oz music shows on things like 3RRR, 3PBS and also on Double & Triple J. Check out their websites. ✌️

Thanks for posting. I was lucky enough to visit Stockholm, once. The art in the stations was really cool. Would love to return there one day. πŸ™‚

According to this and a couple of other sources, yes, some species of Banksia have been used for their nectar. It’s possible that seeds and fruit may also be edible but don’t take my word for it.

The climate there would be good growing conditions. I hope it doesn’t cause issues though. Introduced species can sometimes be problematic.

This plant that is endemic to SE continental Australia, was named by Baron Sir Ferdinand Jacob Heinrich von Mueller, the first director of the Royal Botanic Garden, Melbourne. The genus Banksia is named after Joseph Banks, a naturalist who was on Cook’s first Pacific voyage in the 1770s. Its binomial name is b.ornata.

For anyone who plays Wingspan, the board game, this is one of the types of plant that the nectar food source comes from.
