Also, I think it's time we stop thinking in gay and straight terms. Way too restrictive, sexuality is just more complex than that.
I think "gay/straight " describe more than 90% of people. It is useful. What is not useful is making politics out of this, including blaming the other side for being immoral, and "identity politics".
All I'm saying is that describing attraction based on appearance can often make things much easier than stricly basing it on sex or gender identity.
