MASH
yes I'm old
The Wire - same song, different take (Tom Waits, no less)
Peacemaker. It’s so corny, but it makes me laugh and I couldn’t ever skip it.
For me:
Babylon Berlin intro captures the art, the deco, and the fear of what the viewer knows is going to come of that time period.
Black Sails just perfect
Raised by Wolves I was hit and miss on this in many ways, but this intro is great - albeit I think slightly misleading as to its overall tone.
Pennyworth I thought S1 was a bit silly, but what an intro.
Happiness This is just fun, and fits the show brilliantly
See also isn't bad
Song of the Bandits The song on the YT video isn't great here imo, but they actually mix it up in the show proper and use different songs. And some really fit the theme.
If we're talking about music in general through the show rather than just the intro - The Korean High Fantasy series Arthdal Chronicles. Some stunning, music, throughout, the show. It was also kinda like watching a JRPG (even if Korean).
Lots of bests, but here's some I didn't see.
The Expanse.
Babylon 5, especially season 3(?) change with "It failed."
Old school original Battlestar Galactica.
Knightrider and Airwolf.
Worst? If you can't remember them, they must be bad.
The Expanse intro was so good
Great intros: Psych, Wynonna Earp, Leverage, Motherland: Fort Salem, Stargate SG-1, Buffy, Angel, Dark, Yellowjackets
Worst intros? Any that are just the name of the show for a few seconds
The one that started it all?
have you tried leverage redemption?
Simpsons is pretty original
I never skip Star Trek Voyager’s intro. I love both the music and the visuals.
Disney absolutely butchered the art of intros for its Star Wars shows by simply…not having them really. And I think it sucks.
I find the Peacemaker intro quite catchy.
I know it is a spoof but even though I hate it I will watch Too Many Cooks all the way through when it pops up.
Too many cooks is the best wrong answer. Must resisted watching this again.
Weeds. I believe starting in S2, they start doing the same song, same intro, but in different styles. I believe they even had green day cover it at one point.
I loved the S01 intro!
I'll always enjoy the intro to stargate atlantis just because the whole concept of the city (and it's appearance) is so fucking cool, even with the noticably.. Sufficient.. CGI it's so inherently neat that it'll remain impressive.
The White Lotus Season seasons 1 and 2. I find the third season intro really flat in comparison.
I sometimes still randomly hum/whistle the theme for Doug.
I don't know any bad TV intros. My favorites are Burn Notice and Leverage, and I'm unsure if it's nostalgia but my absolute favorite was always Renegade
"He was a cop, and good at his job, but he committed the ultimate sin and testified against other cops gone bad. Cops that tried to kill him, but got the woman he loved instead. Framed for murder, now he prowls the badlands. An outlaw hunting outlaws, a bounty hunter, a renegade."
The Captain Scarlet Intro goes hard.
Dan da Dan. Show itself is alright, but the opening fucking SLAPS
Someone just reminded me of Marienhof theme the other day and damn it still slaps even if the show is just a German soap opera.
Derrick.
