Same, though for me personally, the absolute minimum dealbreaker for any watch (excluding something like a G-Shock) is that it needs a sapphire crystal. I am tough on my watches, and a non-sapphire will get scratched up (or worse) very quickly.
Same. For some reason, I always found the metal door jamb (around the magnetic lock) at ATM booths with my watch.

I guess now its just an indicator of quality for me if they use sapphire - as it isn't expensive. It's just not cheap like mineral.
Bought a great looking Dufa meca-quartz, but returned it as soon as I discovered the domed crystal wasn't sapphire. That's just begging for trouble.
Acrylic is my favourite bar none. I live domed acrylic. I wish I could get a river made by Tudor, or Omega or someone with acrylic.
Not interested in Longines, Oris, etc
