It really does feel like costumes are something most people age out of. I often wonder if people really grow out of it or if it's exhaustion from work/ the general state of the world...
As a not-so-young person, I'd love to get into a costume... if only I didn't have to worry all the time about, and prioritize, basic existential things like health, food, shelter... or see anything other than black for the mid term, with a chance of surprise backstabbings in the short term... until the benzos kick in, and I stop caring about everything, costumes included ๐
