The latest update video from Leon the Lobster, a cozy docu-series about a lobster rescued from the grocery store.

As of this post, Leon the Lobster is alive and appears to be recovering from dropping a claw. Sorry-not-sorry for spoilers, nobody needs to be introduced to a cool animal with a fake-out like the video's real title. Brady. You jerk. All of us have high enough blood pressure.

Things have been a little tough for Sudo since Juniper arrived, since he's used to taking up all of my attention. Playtimes are now in between her naps, and her janky motions have kinda freaked him out over the past few days. We still have cuddle time after she goes to bed for the night, and I managed to snap this shot of the two of us this evening.

i told my partner that if he charged up the gopro, i'd make a video for him when i took the dog out to the local nature preserve. turns out it makes some nice crunch-crunch sounds.

Steel Worm (video.everythingbagel.me)

Its the time of the year where cold blooded animals get easier to catch!

This was found in a forest of northern Denmark. Here they call them steel worms. The common name is Slow worm and the Latin name is Anguis fragilis. It is not a worm though and although it looks like a snake, it is a legless lizard. This is one of the largest ones that I have ever found!

The bonus clip is a larvae of the Calliteara pudibunda moth, also known as the pale tussock

I work 24 hour shifts as a care assistant to a person with severe disabilities. This is their cat. I often share a bed with it!

i started this online scent work course about a week ago, and it has been a lot of fun! i'm used to more showy dog sports (agility, rally obedience, dock diving, etc), so finding something chill has been really eye-opening. you can see right around the 1:45 mark where she sniffs the other colander, realizes there's no scent, and immediately plops her nose into the correct one! i'm just so amused and delighted.

My apologies if this is not ok to post here. If not, if anyone can point me in a more appropriate direction? That would be appreciated!

From my friends in northeast KY:

"We are trying our best to do this. If you can help, it would be appreciated. Even prayers for a winning pick 4... I will be posting on the new arrivals when they come." #catrescue #rescuestory #rescuelife #rescuecatsofinstagram #rescuefunding #helene #rescuelife #fortheloveofcats #catsofinstagram #catlover #cats #rescue"

They are taking in more animals due to the emergency situation going on from the hurricane, they had not planned for this growth so suddenly.

There is a link to their vets office in her bio, if you have blankets or food that could be sent she can be reached through her profile via the link for the best way to coordinate. Even just sharing her profile/info so maybe someone else can see would be amazing.

[Image description: four male Muscovy ducks resting in a row amid grasses and low forbs. One is a light brown with some white around his neck. Next to him is a white one with even lighter brown along his wings and on the top of his head. The third is a mottled gray boy with white highlights and a black head, while the fourth is black and green on his wings with a black head and white belly]

These bees were so sweet and docile and were possibly missing their queen. I was able to safely relocate them from this residential backyard into a new hive,

Located on the western coast of Baja California Sur's peninsula, the Laguna San Ignacio is considered the last undisturbed breeding and calving lagoon of the Pacific gray whale. The protected whale sanctuary is also home to one of the world's most unusual wildlife encounters: here, curious whales regularly, and voluntarily, seek out contact with humans.

Every year from January to mid-April, thousands of gray whales arrive in the lagoon during a 19,300km journey from the icy waters of the Arctic to the warm waters of Baja California Sur to mate and give birth. While these are now safe waters for nursing and breeding, gray whales were once hunted here. Yet, the animals now seem to have learned to trust humans. In fact, during my recent whale-watching trip with Sanchez's eco-tourism company Pure Baja Travels, we witnessed mothers bringing their calves over to boats to present them like proud parents.

These unique encounters have influenced the conservation and protection of these gentle giants and spurred a thrilling โ€“ and responsible โ€“ whale-watching experience like nowhere else.

jean has earned 500 points in fast CAT since she started in february, so she got her DCAT title today (first was BCAT at 300 points). very proud of her! it has improved her recall and behavior around other dogs so much. ๐Ÿ˜Š

we have a looong way to go, but i like to keep video records of even the not-so-good practice sessions. she's really disengaged with me for a big portion of this video (probably because it's our first time doing this outdoors). hoping to eventually get her into rally obedience. :)

[Image description: our Australian shepherd gently and respectfully sniffs our newborn as I hold her for the introduction]

Sudo has been absolutely wonderful towards her - he'll come give the top of her head a small kiss when she gets fussy and then backs off to let us take care of the cause. I'll try to catch his =/ face the next time I tell him it's his turn to change the diaper
