They'll do like they always do and pretend it's the greatest, most innovative feature ever. They'll probably give it a hip new name like 'light speed port' and make it only compatible with Apple-branded products.

I haven't used sync in years so I didn't know this is how it always was

I get you and I actually agree. But I think it might be easier to have option somewhere that applies current settings to other accounts.

I'm not sure if this was how it worked for reddit but it makes you set it up when first opening, then again when adding an account, then again for each new account. There don't seem to be any global settings so you have to manually copy settings for each account. This makes it kind of a pain to set up how I want.

Linux mint was the first distro I fell in love with as a beginner.

There's /r/menslib on Reddit which is well-moderated and I've never seen any toxicity there (not that I go looking for it!) so it is possible.

It's also possible that Beehaw's instance is vulnerable to the same XSS attack.

The cons definitely outweigh thr pros imo. And based on the number of people I've seen lose their jobs over social media posts, nothing much will change.

External image hosting is probably preferable but can we trust imgbox (or any other host really) to not pull an imgur and purge for e.g. anomymous uploads?

The conclusion of the post is that passwords are fine if you use a password manager with MFA if possible.
I also have an issue with the analogy because the places where the outbreak occurred often had no running water. I remember hearing a quote "People do not think to wash their hands when they do not have enough water to drink."
