every device you use bitwarden has a local copy of all passwords. Even if you nuke your server, you still will have access to your passwords.
The server is just use to sync changes. if there is no sync needed, you don't need the server.

been running my reverse proxy on caddy from last 4-5 years. No issues at all. No maintenance needed. Setup and forget. Just needs a simple config file. Auto certificate generation.
Didn't know that the project will be this huge when you posted it first here.
it helped me take one more step forward to get out of Google's services.
