Seriously. My cats are so relaxed because they get their food at the exact same times every day. I still hand feed the first and last meals (canned wet food), but it gives them something to look forward to during the day, even when we are at work.

They can also apparently tell time now because they get ready within five minutes of most feedings, I like to think that makes them feel more connected to their world and existence.

For the vast majority of customers that aren't looking to spend close to a grand for a card that is infinitesimally better than a card for half the price, AMD has plenty to offer.

Teachers aren't in charge of school policies and generally aren't even decision makers past the lowest levels of discipline.

One of the most common types of bullying in the US is the use of zero tolerance anti bullying rules as a mechanism for bullying.

Example: kid A punches kid B. Then immediately kid A reports kid B for bullying him because kid A knows how the bullying rules work (because they are a bully). Then kid B gets in trouble for getting bullied.

Typically kid A's parents will enthusiastically back then too because their kid "gets bullied all the time" while kid Bs parents aren't experienced with the policies and aren't positive that their kid didn't do something wrong (because they are normal parents), so they don't fight it too hard and just want it to go away.

Ask any teacher in the US and they will tell you that they see this all the time and most every kid that supposedly "gets bullied all the time" is doing exactly this.

It's really subtle, but there are little ads for all manner of Nintendo products hidden all over the ... Super Mario Brothers movie.

Let's just apply fucking loot box mechanics to everything in our lives.

I can only watch interstellar on my bedroom TV because I've maxed out the audio compression to watch things at low volume, I can actually understand what anyone in that movie is saying.

A big part of the problem is that they just don't make small affordable trucks anymore.

The tiny little Ford ranger of the 90s used to be the cheapest car at a Ford dealership. The current ranger is only a couple inches smaller than the f150 and costs a couple grand less, if you can even find one.

PB Glizzy, nuclear weapons, computers, same basic difference.

Or maybe they literally blew up their whole continent and got to start over again after learning how shit worked.

Europe is old, but their current governments and infrastructure isn't.

We had an old 286 running the HVAC at a hospital I worked at. This was a hospital with about 2000 employees in a major American city.

Well, if you were a billionaire with private doctors and access to preferred care then you would be way better off than someone in Canada, ergo the American system is better.

That's the only performance based argument in favor of privatized care that I can think of.
