My Trek SuperCommuter 7+ has gone from "Once a week 12mi bike commute to the office" pre-pandemic to "primary mode of transportation" since becoming full time WFH. My wife still has a car, since she has to go to the office, but I'm going to the grocery store & out for lunch regularly on my bike.

It pedal assists to 20mph, with about 30 miles of range at max assist, which is plenty to get me to several great lunch spots, cafes, and bars around me, plus the occasional programming professionals org events nearby.

Lots of Fediverse stuff works like you might know email to work, i.e. thing@place.com, no matter where your email is hosted, you can send and receive messages from other hosts.

In this Case, the piracy community, within the lemmy.dbzer0.com domain, you should be able to copy-paste the !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com, or any community like it, into the search bar of your home lemmy server and be able to subscribe.

Communities will grow and shape with time, but the only thing I'm really missing is some of the RES features: j and k keyboard navigation, click-and-drag expando resize.
