But then those would only be the hypotheses, they would have to test those "revelations" and analyze the results of those tests to get a conclusion. And that's science, my friend.

After reading all the comments I'm thinking it really comes to what you're able to see. If you see no difference between 60 and 120, good for you, set it to 60 and save some battery. If you're able to see the difference, like I do, you'll just enjoy the extra smoothness. I've always seen the difference between 60 and 90/120. I think it also comes to the content. For me it's like this:

  • For videos, whatever refresh rate is ok as long as that was the intent of whoever created it.
  • For games 30 is playable, 60 is good, 120 is beautifully smooth. The type of game will also play a role here. An fps will benefit more from higher refresh rates.
  • For moving UI elements 30 is unusable, 60 is ok, 120 is really comfortable.

TL;DR Some people will see it, some people won't. Do whatever works best for you.

I like to use the ones includes in oh-my-zsh. It's a big list, but the ones I use the most are:

gst --> git status

gcam --> git commit -am

gcp --> git cherry-pick

gsta --> git stash save

gstp --> git stash pop

gpsup --> git push --set-upstream origin $(git_current_branch)

grb --> git rebase

I'm an Android user and I never used Apollo, but wefwef is just amazing. It works surprisingly well, especially for a PWA. It will be my app of choice at least until Sync for Lemmy is out.

If google implemented the social aspects of Waze into maps it would be the ultimate maps app. I understand that the nature of google maps is different than Waze's, but maybe including a social mode in maps that shows all the information that Waze shows would make it a million times better.

That's my favorite reddit client. I was hoping someone would do a similar client for Lemmy. This is great news, I'd totally buy a paid version of Sync for Lemmy just to support the developer.

Apps usually have an active users metric. As far as I know, that's how the worth of apps is usually measured. So uninstalling the app would directly impact that metric, because they would see a significant drop in their daily active users measurements.
