In your account settings there is an option to disable viewed posts from appearing.

Looks promising.

I stumbled across Lemonade which is also a GTK4 client, but it uses Libadwaita.

I 100% agree with this decision. At first I wanted to give Meta a chance, just to get a big player in the Fediverse, but after reading this article it totally changed my views.

I’d say they probably didn’t notice because Reddit has been forcing even niche subs to reopen.
