Vorbis is so good and evil. I love when On considers that Vorbis would absolutely leave a God on their back ,just to see what would happen.

I'm lucky and make a decent living. Not "buy a house in Vancouver" money but I'm basically not struggling. So, I figure anyone working minimum wage is doing something I probably wouldn't like doing and I want to help out.

I also love restaurants and bars. My favourite spots, those servers are doing hard work that I couldn't do and they put up with all sorts of horrible nonsense. And if they don't make enough, they leave and the place suffers. So I generally tip 20 at a place I like, 15 if it's meh or whatever.

Title seems self explanatory, no?

Seems like a bizzare move from Women Talking to Disney but in an age where Greta Gerwig is making the Barbie movie, I'll hold off on judgement.

That movie was one of the most intense experiences I've ever had in a theatre. I learned that day that as much as I love horror and gore, I have limits.

Sounds groovy, I will check it out! Thanks for the recommendation!

There was an embarrassingly long thought process of "that's just a pretty ladyzl, how is she gone... Ohhhhhhhh!"

Do you remember/recommend any episodes? Rocked through a few of the Vince Gilligan XFiles and kinda got an itch...

That was awesome of you to do. I just walked out, was browsing Lemmy and was wondering similar (peed during the mom/spidey reveal.)

Anywayz thanks!

One asks "can you drive this thing?"

The other yells "Holy shit! A talking goldfish!"

Both you and above (sorry, new, unsure how to tag someone) have made my world a better place. Did not know about the anime or commentary!

Ace Ventura, right? (And yes, I'm taking the coward's way out by not identifying whether it's 1 or 2.)

Oh man, I regularly have to go digging for a good "C'mon Pookie..." gif! (Usually when fantasy sports don't go my way.)

My jaw dropped, I didn't think anyone would get that. It's such a random throwaway line, nicely done!

The prices are ridiculous but you're not really paying for the drink so much as the atmosphere.

What's a quote you use too often from a movie that's not one of THE quotes from that movie? And will anyone in the community figure it out?

One day, Susie, a blind 6 year old, was listening to the radio and heard about a miracle cure for her exact condition! She ran to her parents room and breathlessly told them about it. Her mom had heard of it and said "Susie, we love you but it's terribly expensive!" "But mommy, I want to see you and daddy and your eyes and your smiles!" "Well, your birthday is coming up so maaaaaaybe."

Of course, Susie being 6 years old had no patience and the next day ran to her parents room and said "Mommy, daddy, I want to see rainbows, and puppies and kitties! Please can we get the cure?" She was gently rebuffed but with all the exasperating determination of a 6 year old continued to plead with them every day for the next month until one day, after "Mommy, daddy, I want to see raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens!" "Okay honey, we got you the medicine."

Susie cried she was so excited. Her mom continued, "According to the instructions, we smear this cream over your eyes, wrap these bandages around your eyes tight and when you wake up tomorrow, we'll take them off and you should be cured!"

Well, obviously little Susie didn't sleep a wink that night. She was going to see her mom and dad, rainbows, puppies, kitties, flowers, sunsets and her own face! As soon as morning hit she ran to her mom and dad's room where they started unwrapping the bandages and she could..... Not see. Everything was still dark.

"Mommy, daddy what's wrong?"

"April fool's honey!"

From my reading, they seem less full throated than previous. Do you think this signals a cooling? Or just the candidates playing it coy? Do you think it will it matter in the primaries?

Will they take a vacation? Say they are striking in solidarity with 3rd party apps? Create, gasp, original content? What do you think?
