I would personally love to see the hardware on a phone for working with LoRa, so much so.

Last year I had to replace my phone that had GMRS capabilities. It had that due to the hardware, an additional board was installed for this. This would be what is needed for something akin to that.

Thank you most kindly! I have never heard of that website and am bookmarking it for the future!

Sadly I lack an account for the Atlantic, but I am going to assume that they were bought out.

I am sorry, I am confused, is this supposed to be a poem?

[–] CounselingTechie@slrpnk.net 1 points 2 months ago

That may be what it was yeah. I remember also when Shiny Gold did come out a few others were released based off it too.

Sadly I do not, I apologize! This was back in 2004-2005. I just remember it was based off Firered and was done around the same time people made the global warming Firered version that I played a lot of.

I remember during the "eternity" in between Gen 3 and 4 sprite-work had started becoming popular as had tilemap-work, with the common words being decolors and recolors, decolors being taking the newer sprites and remaking them for an older style, while the recolors was the opposite direction. I remember on TRSrockin, Lugia's Den, and Mewthree's Domain learning tutorials on this, and even having contests for it.

Fast forward to 2006 and people were making romhacks of Johto in Firered and Ruby, but also trying to make Hoenn in Gold, and some even so far as to try making Johto in Red. It was not perfect, but it was enjoyable. I even got into the fun of it too, having a lot of fun making romhacks. One such I remember distinctly involved a Tyranitar on the main screen, and was based in Gen 2, and was honestly phenomenal to play.

Needless to say, the difference I found in my life between the games officially made, and the fangames was that the fangames were not limited by policies of the company, and were only limited by the technology, and the passion of the creator or sometimes creators. Today we live in a modern world, with such projects as Pokemon Red KEP truly exemplifying that spirit with the limitless power of the decomp projects and community.

This would be something I would love to see more places implement. Lights of a different frequency that is less destructive for wildlife, and is properly shielded to mitigate the damage. I should not be able to from 10 miles (16 Kilometers) see a massive lightshow that is the town I live in.

I have heard a lot of good about it, and am glad to hear that it is well-deserved. I may make time to watch it in time myself.

I agree there with the handmade part especially.

I spent the day and evening visiting a close friend, and one of the things that we did was that we shared gifts as usual. They had an idea that they had made for me given my lifestyle, being a jar full of little trinkets they've gotten, with them having a sigil and a spell placed upon it specifically for the purpose of strengthening connections. They called it a blessing jar.

The idea of the jar is that I would take items from it, and share with another person to create a connection and foster friendship, and if they want to, they can share with me something they may have, and that is what got me thinking of this idea. A gathering with jars, each with items filled by the person. Maybe satchets of herbs and materials if that is you, or jars with items in them, or such, and freely exchanging in a group setting if can, else, just simply sharing what we have.

Just an idea I had.

You put it best there, I live in a part of the United States that gets over 100 degrees during the summer time, which would challenge a cloak idea sadly

Hello everyone,

As the title said, I am looking at starting some okra from seeds, but wanted to know if I am too late in the season to start, or if I am good for where I am?

I will be growing the okra in large containers specifically, but I could do raised beds if that would be better.

Hello to everyone,

So I am growing a set of plants this winter, soil in terracotta pots with some terracotta ollas for watering them. I have the plants sitting in the window, about 8-9 inches away from the pane itself to keep from getting too cold, and have the grow light over, so that way they are getting light in that cycle, the lights being on during the day time so that when the sun isn't as strong, the lights can help.

I was thinking about whether or not I should get a heating mat for them as well, or a heating lamp to help keep them from being too cold. What would be your recommendations?

The plants are as follow:

Lemon balm, Orange Hat Tomatoes, Bush Pinto Beans, and Tom Thumb Lettuce.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you for reading!

As we are approaching the winter time with the solstice, I find myself wondering what to you is Lunarpunk in the winter time? What is something you add to the aesthetic in your eyes?

About a month ago I had started the work to get solar panels set up at my house. They came by today to do the site survey and I am just happy to know that progress is being made slowly! They won't be able to do roof units, primarily due to what my house is, but there is space for ground units, and I am curious to hear what they suggest they do for it.
