One of the two primary countries we have built up arms to fight is Russia. Sending them to do what they were built for makes perfect sense.
Plus, it's not as allowing Ukraine to languish will suddenly solve our domestic healthcare woes. That money will be spent on the military either way. Best to send lethal aid where it can do some good rather than sitting in a warehouse.
It amuses me how Turkey is having to pull public stunts like this just to be considered for F16s, whereas before they were one of F35 recipients, but they threw that away and instead bought Russian-produced air defenses.

Meanwhile, they are now requiring people to disclose even $600/yr income gained from side sources. This is down from the previous requirement of mandating it only if one earn $20,000/yr from side sources.
If they only intend to audit the big guys, why are they suddenly requiring people to report a measly $600/yr in side-income while simultaneously massively beefing up the number of auditors?

When the most vocal push is to Defund the Police, it isn’t surprising little is happening. The wider population wants police increases and improvements, not for police to be defunded.
