I seem to recall Steve Jobs talking about seeing the Smalltalk-80 at PARC and trying to encapsulate what made it so weird and captivating both. Thanks for this.
I don't know how close the lineage is, but modern implementations include Pharo, Squeak, and some other systems based on object-oriented principles.
