Jerboa is handling it well

Does it show it cropped in a shorter wider aspect ratio until you interact with something on the screen? That's what Jerboa does for me

[–] InquisitiveApathy@lemm.ee 6 points 4 months ago

That's how it shows up for me at least. Reduced aspect ratio and the top/bottoms of images are cropped to a standard size. I have been needing to wait a second for the image to fully load it's full format rather than needing to interact with a post though - it just happens automatically when it's in view on the screen.

Looks good on sync. Proper zoom too.

Connect handles it alright. Just a long post

But posting a reply to myself didn’t work great - or maybe it was me that screwed up

Connect very slightly cuts off the bottom of the image for me.

[–] Mac@mander.xyz 4 points 4 months ago

Thunder displays it properly.

I believe is a setting on connect to either crop or show the whole image

In Memmy in iOS, it seems to “fit to screen”—meaning it shows the entire image with large black pillarboxing on either side.

Kbin/Mbin doesn't handle it well and only shows the middle bit. I need to open the original to see the full image.

[–] mephiska@kbin.run 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Mbin (kbin.run) seems to handle it just fine in the chrome browser on desktop.

[–] Maestro@fedia.io 1 points 4 months ago

I'm on fedia.io which I think is also Mbin. When I tap the image on my phone (android firefox) the image opens in a popover but it only shows the middle part and scrolling works badly. When I tap the title/link then the image opens as a new page and it works fine.

[–] SteveXVII@pawb.social 3 points 4 months ago

Sync is showing it just fine.

Works well in Summit. When you try to just show the image it shows the full height image but you can pinch to zoom in.

And if you actually open the post with comments it's nicely zoomed already to fit width:

Summit fits image to screen horizontally, ideal layout for me

firefox mobile, works great

[–] JoMiran@lemmy.ml 2 points 4 months ago

Voyager for Android shows one tall image.

[–] pineapplelover@lemm.ee 1 points 4 months ago

Works fine on Eternity

Get out of my head, get out of my head, get out of my head

[–] GammaGames 1 points 4 months ago

mlem shows it as a big scrolling image, voyager is a regular image you have to zoom in but still works

[–] PythagreousTitties@lemm.ee 1 points 4 months ago

Works perfect on the basic Firefox browser.
