Sometimes I eat enough that I have plenty of leftovers, and sometimes I eat enough that I'm confused as to why I have no leftovers.
Sometimes I don't eat all the left overs for second and third dinner.
I intentionally cook an outrageous amount of spaghetti to save some for later. We are not the same.
If you want to cook exactly the right amount and don't have a spaghetti measurer just weigh them.
I freeze it in portions to take to work for lunch
IMHO A rough rule of thumb is the amount you can grab with just your pinkie finger is one portion for you

i usually aim for about 80g dry per person
Usually for me I make about 80g, that seems to always mostly be right
If you have one of those spaghetti scooper things (I forget what they’re called), that hole in the middle is used to measure out about one serving’s worth.
