The Internet Archive, an online repository of web pages, was offline Thursday after its founder confirmed a major cyberattack that left the site defaced and exposed the data of millions of users.

right? literally the only thing i can think to make this make sense is they deleted like… 1 snapshot of something incriminating and then used the chaos to hide it?

otherwise… wth… the internet archive is just an indisputable force for good
