One of the arguments made for Reddit's API changes is that they are now the go to place for LLM training data (e.g. for ChatGPT).

I haven't seen a whole lot of discussion around this and would like to hear people's opinions. Are you concerned about your posts being used for LLM training? Do you not care? Do you prefer that your comments are available to train open source LLMs?

This in my cynical opinion is why large companies are so keen and dump so many money into LLM. Since it is a platform they can control, and needs a shit load of money to get into, not really because they are "good" or "the future".

Don't get me wrong, LLM nowadays would be unimaginable (at least for me) 5 years ago, but there are plenty of technological advancements that are also ground breaking, but haven't been pushed nearly as hard by big techs.
