Yes. I have played it since the orange box and still do occasionally. This is “you couldn’t make blazing saddles today” nonsense. The satire is and has been apparent for a long time in large part because Valve generally doesn’t punch down.

I love the arguement that you couldn't make blazing saddles today because if you handed the script to a producer, they'd take one look and go "we can't make this! This is just blazing saddles, and it came out years ago"

Lol ok I’ll give you that. But I also think you get what I mean. There’s actually a fantastic video called that covers this issue incredibly well. I think you’ll really enjoy it.

I don't think it's the fact that people are too easily offended, if that's what you mean. It's good satire, to be sure. I just personally think that the amount of people who play a lot of video games are marketed towards these days may not be the crowd known for their.. critical thinking.

Plus, it's things like sensational journalism that I feel would be the ones to put out their opinion to outrage the masses. Again: I don't think that people are "too easily offended" or whatever these days. But many are easily swayed by mass media opinions. That's just my thought.
