Music is one of the most important things to me. After years of going back and forth on streaming, my running theory is “you get out what you put in”. Streaming is useful, but after years of it, I developed habits that were anti to the way that I used to enjoy music. it was harder to have those moments when music becomes magical

I’m doing the self hosted thing now. moving far away from streaming (but not necessarily ditching it) feels like a step in the right direction

Years ago, and also last year, I bought this duxtop model from Amazon:

Duxtop 1800W Portable Induction Cooktop Countertop Burner, Gold 8100MC/BT-180G3 https://a.co/d/4l21lmb

No issues. It’s been about 5-7 years. They’ve since introduced new (to me) models:

They’re worth looking into because they have more power levels.

thanks for taking the time and effort to write this response. my knee jerk reaction is "meta bad unga bunga 😡" but i like your take. it's measured.

also i wanted to share how i was relieved when discovering that waveform was federated with most. i signed up with beehaw at first, and though i like it, waveform feels like a place i can call e-home

What’s the plan @ChappIO? Curious

I struggle with this as well. What works best for me is to just dive into it. No planning or expectations at the start. Do whatever my gut tells me to do. the crucial part is setting aside time every day. It doesn’t have to be a lot. Only enough to create a habit
