Would always be nice for it to be immediate but at the very least the increase in funding starts in the first year. Probably some budget reasons but can't say I know enough about that to say.

Would hope for that too but not expecting much unfortunately. With everything that's happened recently I wouldn't be surprised if the findings don't change LNP voters minds though I wouldn't expect the anything to come out of this before the election rolls around.
I would at the very least want to see everyone responsible punished but given there's only six and that everything will be done behind closed doors, I doubt anything just will come of it, especially to the politicians involved who will probably not even be investigated.
Finally, the obvious thing to do though unfortunately any bit of faith in a working anti corruption system is already destroyed. Hopefully this will help fix that but not too hopeful for any transparency and worthwhile outcomes.
Article is suggesting that they are looking at their Metro, Lands Title Office, their energy retailer and "Public Trustee's commercial will, estate and trustee services ". I'm sure that will go well, not public necessities at all.
Reeks of DOGE wannabes for sure. Really hoping the influence doesn't spread too far, the long-term consequences will only hit once these pollies are relaxing in retirement.
