It actually is monorail. It looks like the stabilizing arm is for when the vehicle is off and not moving. It uses a gyroscope while moving for stabilization

As others have said, the analogy is wrong, but for different reasons than what I've seen.

A better analogy is an abusive relationship. There's your partner who beats you regularly. You're often left bruised. You talk about leaving and the response is 'the other guy will break your arms, and unless you agree to stay with me, they're moving in and they will break your arms. I'm still punching you, and there's no chance I'll stop, but I'm better than that person.'

There is a cycle of abuse. Look it up. There's no way to make an abusive relationship better. There's very little chance that a person will change while they have power over a victim. Power gives up nothing without a fight.

The abuser might change, but only after reflection and a loss of power.

I don't think there's a reasonable way out of this hole, but I'd rather be in a world with more forest, so I'll keep suggesting that.

Very true. A forest is definitely preferable

Trees are pretty good at carbon capture :)

I listened to a podcast a couple of months ago that was about some international agreement that got rid of a bunch of pollution that was going to make this year MUCH warmer.
I'll find it if anyone's interested.

Lenin and the Bolsheviks essentially legalized it though.
Nobody likes Stalin. If you do, think about your life and your place in the world

When Harper was still in power, the Canadian government had a deal where the oil companies would get subsidized until the oil sands were profitable.
So Canada was giving the oil companies billions.
I'm putting on my tinfoil hat now.
Trudeau rushed to buy the pipeline when it was canceled. Is that because the oil sands can't be profitable without the pipeline, and this deal is bleeding Canada dry?
I just thought of this now, I'd love some criticism if anyone's got some.

I've heard, so take with a grain of salt, that China likes Chiang's ideology that China should be reunified.
The disagreement was who should be in power after.
The removal of the statues somehow indicates they don't want reunion.

Israel has attacked 4 different countries in it's 'war against hamas.' It's attacked, Syria, Lebanon, Iran and Palestine. They're aggressively trying to escalate.

Every good anarchist understands the power analysis rarely fails, but I'm trying to be a little more optimistic lately
