It shouldn't be deleted, there's a number of people who don't want to be there. Also, the idea that these places can only be lifeboats if the SC mods on Reddit want to leave Reddit is kind of messed up...
My biggest question is, what changed from "we're thinking of making this an unofficial official SC" to siding with Reddit by fully reopening back to "normal" and acting like everything is fine? It's like they went from "Ride or Die" to "Tuck Tail and Run."
For the record, I get it, Reddit is threatening to nuke anybody that doesn't fall in line and that means giving up something you love and have given way too many free hours to, but it really seemed everything was saying we're in this to the death only to see it turn around and reopen like nothing.
I'm going to be honest, when the blackout first started I figured I'd be back to Reddit eventually. But the more bullshit Spez says the less likely that's become. And now, with the mods on r/sc opening the sub back up with a lame 'lol we tried' post no way I'm going back.

i won't be on reddit without third-party apps, if this space gets deleted i'll find other places to talk about wrestling. i think there are a couple other wrestling-related lemmy/kbin instances already
There's loads, a couple with the same name, I joined most of them before I found this place. This has been the most active though.
I'd much rather see this space grow than go back to reddit right now.
So much this, if nothing else the blackout gave us a first step into a fresh... fediverse.
I'm not going back. I dont have any desire to go back to a website that has gone fully user-hostile.

No. Some people will wanna stay on Reddit, some people will wanna stay here, some people will be on both, and if one goes down, the other is still there. Leave this community here for those who wanna use it. Anyone who doesn't can just forget it exists and their lives go on just the same.
