Such a shame. I understand not wanting to compromise on details and graphics, but 60fps should be the bare minimum any developer is happy with in 2023.

Just curious for your thoughts, nothing bad intended. How would you feel about console graphic settings? Not as granular as PC but like, “30FPS and beautiful” or “60FPS and toned down graphics”.
Given the choice, what would you pick?
100% 60 fps and toned down
older games are often still played a lot nowadays, and art direction is way more important than resolution and the like
honestly the immense focus in polygon and pixel counts in games lately has annoyed me immensely, especially because they rarely actually make for a stand-out look
Microsoft really not giving any incentives to play on their consoles
Eh, some of us are less concerned with FPS than others. Considering some of the comments above regarding the amount of hardware needed to get decent frames on PC, I'm happy to get the same performance at a fraction of the cost and effort.
YMMV of course, just giving my $0.02 as someone who is pretty happy with his XSX.
EDIT - Oops, just saw this was a month-old comment. My bad for the necro lol
Yup. Given the comments they made in the Todd Howard interview I'm guessing they've really struggled to get anywhere near 60
Has any Bethesda game ever ran at 60FPS on release on console? Or even ran well on PC at launch?
Big oof. Seems like it will be hard to run on PC too. The recommended GPU is a 2080. My 3080 is kinda sweating at that because I assume that they mean 30fps @ high settings with a 2080.
Same, i'm hoping 1440p 60 fps is doable on my 3080
If they do it this way, they can sell a 60fps version for full price in a couple of years.
