Hello! I’ve been invited to try out the mod-life for a bit, so here goes. Never managed a Lemmy instance before so will be learning as I go.

Cool to see a Rust-dedicated instance! Was this instance created by fans of the language or members of the project?

Just fans, trying to navigate the fediverse waters. Admittedly its been an interesting experience getting everything setup so far. Getting email setup to work correctly was quite a trip lol.

Hi fedi-people! I'm not an active rust person but I feel like the way things are going I will be in the near future. Keep strong y'all, wishing you well :)

Hey all, glad to be here, hopefully for a longer time

I'm calling this rustlang instead of just rust to not collide with /c/rust@lemmy.ml. If this doesn't gain traction (I hope it does as we shouldn't really overload lemmy.ml imo) we'd figure it out, or we can just use this as an instance to sign-up but continue all the posts/discussion over at /c/rust, it's already well established afaict.

We shall see.

Hopefully this instance does take off, we need the eggs spread between the baskets a lot better than they are now.

At the moment I work on a solution for ProjectEuler | Problem #54 | Poker Hands. It is my first challengingly large problem I tried to solve. I like using chatGPT as on demand tutor.
