Has anyone managed to get a Lapras ex from the event? I'm currently at 6 Butterfree, 4 Pikachu, 10 Clefairy, and 5 Mankey, but no Lapras. I'm wondering if it's even possible or if I'm just really unlucky. What has your experience been?

I've gotten two of them. It's simply RNG

I guess the RNG isn't on my side then. Guess I'll keep trying!

I got Mankey, 6 Pikachu in a row, a Butterfree, then Lapras. I had to double check it wasn't just Pikachu rewards at one point.

I was almost convinced that you couldn't actually get Lapras at all!

Yet to get a Lapras! Does it matter which battle (beginner, intermediate etc) you do out of the event options? 🤔

I don't think it matters, but I believe the more difficult ones have a higher chance of rewarding a promo pack

Ah nice! I'm struggling to consistently win the expert one. Some really tough water types in there

Yeah, Starmie ex is a beast. Luckily I got some good electric types, Zapdos + Giovanni is enough to one shot it

Zapdos is a great one! Trying to stay alive long enough to get the three energy required is the trouble though

Pro-tip: Build a deck with two Jolteons and two Eevees, fill up with one different evolution (e.g. Eelektross evo) and the one Electabuzz. Rest should be trainer cards.

Jolteon is pure RNG but 3:1 is enough to oneshot all beast the expert trial throws at you, and you'll reap in packs in no time.
