I don't know where you are, but that screams "alligators" to me. Are you in Alaska? I'd worry about Northern Alaskan Alligators. Just because nobody has found one yet, doesn't mean they don't exist.

No. There's just a dammed river nearby and it just rained yesterday. I was on the fence about going, due to the mud, but it wasn't that bad.

I also saw three deer cross the path a quarter way up the trail, which was nice.

Dude, I think that's definitely Spanish Moss in the trees there.

Definitely alligators. Nope.
