How come this community is so active on Lemmy? I haven't seen any other city pop up on my feed as often as yours. You regularly get more than a hundred comments each day in these discussion threads.

Bird cage cleaned and renovated to Sir’s liking. He appears to approve of pea sprouts.

Sun is streaming in my window onto the couch so I have given up any thought of moving, have made a G&T, pulled out the diary and sitting here planning holidays and just chilling.

I imagine this is how normies (ie people whose brains are not filled with depression etc) get to live all the time. It's nice. I approve.

I almost want to turn the heater on for emotional support. But it's 19 degrees inside so I will refrain. But it looks cold.

It really doesn't help that I've just returned from 10 days in a tropical island resort. It's like being plunged into winter all at once.

I feel like life is slowly grinding me down.

The alarm to get ready for work went off and I woke to a text asking if I would like AL today. Hell yeah I do! Back to sleep for me.

The dog is harassing me for food. He doesn't understand daylight savings.

Woke up at 6 today because my body still thinks it's 7 am. Laid about for two hours hoping I'll fall back to sleep. Not happening.

Meanwhile I see the weather is the usual Melbourne perma-grey. Thank God I'm going to Vietnam for a couple of weeks soon to somewhat extend my summer.

7:30 and I’m ready for bed. Was awake at 6 tho.

Walk walked. Groceries shopped. New pair of fingerless gloves bought (merino+possum for extra coziness). Bluey watched. I think it's time for a cuppa and to dig out the oodie

It's still not quite pumpkin soup season yet but the pumpkin can't wait so I'm gonna have to make it today. Maybe. No promises.

I'm sure it makes me Officially Old but Extraordinary Escapes with Sandi Toksvig is one of my favourite tv shows. I would love to go on a gentle and beautiful holiday with Sandi.

Well I have a problem.

Had a new pump in the sump installed recently to feed the tanks and it is not turning off when emptied. I believe the float valve is giving incorrect instruction!

I am not a plumber so I will shake the things and give it a kick and with any luck...
