Am I alone in being completely in being against all frame generation due it it being simulated gameplay? I max out ever graphics setting but disable DLSS/FSR and play on native with a lower FPS.

For me, entirely the opposite.

I just bought the Lossless Scaling app on Steam for my RTX 3070. That shit is magic on the 144Hz 4K TV that my gaming PC is connected to. I play games exclusively with a gamepad, so I notice absolutely zero input latency.

I have fully drunk the frame gen Kool-Aid.

I had no opinion until just the other day when I tried it in Ghost of Tsushima for the first time because it was recommended for my setup; but it actually looked worse while just making the FPS counter stay at 60.

And it turned out that what really was wrecking my framerste ended up being FSR's dynamic resolution scaling; I forgot to turn it off. For some reason, it constantly stutters down to 40 or below in pretty much everything I've ever used it on. Games actually run better with a set, static, native resolution. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Does that mean that you are in agreement with me about being against all frame generation texhnoogies?

Yeah. That shit sucks.
