Notably, Biden was not involved in either impeachment. Just as he's not involved in the current investigations (remember those special councils)? With the exception of the ones Garland is running, he has no influence... and garland is treating trump with ultimate kiddie gloves so far.

The Republicans don't care about that. They just want to make it so that impeachments become a "normal political thing that always happens" so they can pretend that Trump being impeached twice was just Democrats being political instead of Trump being a dangerous threat to our democracy.
