Iβm having a similar problem. Submitted to join ~1.5 days ago and see that the account is created (same username as this account). But when I try to login it just spins forever.
note: Pretty sure that the account had not been created when I submitted to join. I checked the user page and the user age matched the date/time of when I tried to create an account.
I know someone who is experiencing this as well. I don't have an answer, but this may be an issue that affects multiple users
Lemmy creates the account before being approved - it is quite silly. If you can give me the username, I can give it a look, we're currently going through all the backlog for people we missed.
I am having the same issue. I signed up a couple days ago, got the eternal spinny, tried again several times. finally today I just used a different email and tried again and got approved right away. when I search I can see the account was created but get the spinny when I try to login. I tried to reset my password and it went to the email I used so I know it's not someone else's account. resetting my password didn't fix it either.
Could be you havenβt been approved yet. If you have it could be you need to wait for it to let you log in. Took me a day of waiting. Once it works it works.
