About a week ago was the last time I was on. I think on mcc you had to select play with anti cheat disabled as they mixed up the logic corresponding to the choice selected, so selecting disabled would actually enable it

Edit just tried it now and it's still working fine

mcc got a huge update recently like this week lol that fixed those issues, i would give it a try again :)
