We truly have dodged a bullet. See you at the YTL board party Marv.

Ever wonder why your high street is full of closed stores and finds itself unable to sustain a community. Blame the Council.

I was under the impression that we paid the council to collect our recycling? What gives? Our whole street hasn't had our cardboard recycling collected for about five weeks. The council don't reply for comment, Bristol Waste sends me to the council.

Do I build a house from all the uncollected cardboard and sell it to the highest bidder? I'd make a packet in this climate 😜.

Typical that on the day I don't need to sit in a stuffy office, it decides to tip it down. At least the garden is getting some well needed water. House is still bloody hot though.

I think this is going to be a catch-up weekend for me, doing all the chores that I couldn't be bothered to do while it was hot.

Departing from The Full Moon pub in Stokes Croft at 12.30pm, the ride includes locations such as Broadmead, Castle Park, Queen Square, and Millennium Square.

Good luck to them given that the forecast for Sunday includes rain and thunderstorms!

“We’ve worked hard with the Council and Police who have been supportive, but we have not been able to find workable solutions to the challenges of this location in order to keep the event safe and secure in the surrounding area and roads.

Good luck to those in Bristol North East. I am sure he will be a hands-on MP committed to the local community, actively listening to those in the community and working at a grass-roots level to implement meaningful change.

Not only is Premier Inn being replaced with two tower blocks, now Debenhams will be ripped down and replaced with two tower blocks.

These will really dominate the skyline in that area of the city.

I find the ones on the M32 and St Philips way too bright at night. This one will be just as terrible when you come round that corner. It's as if the advertisers look at sci-fi films and see them as aspirational rather than the dystopia they are.

The enshitification of Bristol continues under Marvin.

They're a bit boring, but the Premier Inn isn't exactly a pretty building. While I generally approve of building student housing, my only concern is the universities using it as an excuse to bring more students into the city rather than housing their current ones, thereby not actually reducing the pressure on accommodation in the city.
